Packing tips

Pack for a long day and an easy return.

  • Sunscreen, comfortable clothing, and a portable phone charger for long park days.
  • Bring your own water and snacks. Disneyland allows outside food and non-alcoholic drinks in, just not in glass containers.
  • Comfortable, broken-in shoes make the biggest difference on a full park day.

Day trips

Extend the adventure beyond the park.

  • Beaches: Huntington Beach, with sandy shores, volleyball courts, and the pier.
  • Theme parks: Universal Studios Hollywood, Legoland, SeaWorld San Diego, Knott's Berry Farm, or Six Flags Magic Mountain. Compare ticket prices for several of them at Undercover Tourist; we may earn a small commission.
